SINGLE CULTIVAR

Okumidori

SINGLE CULTIVAR

Elegant, naturally sweet, and beautifully layered.
Taste as Usucha: Rich umami with elegant natural sweetness, a creamy mouthfeel, and a long, silky finish with virtually no bitterness

Taste as Latte: Velvety and custard-like with notes of sweet cream, white chocolate, and soft vegetal undertones; remains full-bodied even with milk

Samidori is one of Japan's most celebrated matcha cultivars, prized for its refined sweetness, luxurious texture, and exceptional depth of flavor. Stone-milled from carefully shaded first-harvest leaves, it produces a vibrant emerald green cup with layered umami and remarkable balance.

From Nishio, Aichi Prefecture, Japan 🇯🇵

Cultivar: Okumidori, Asanoka, Saemidori, and Tsuyuhikari

Taste as Usucha: Full-bodied with pronounced umami, creamy texture, balanced sweetness, and a lingering savory finish

Taste as Latte: Thick and velvety with notes of roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and sweet cream; the bold umami remains vibrant even with milk

Sanroku is our signature brick kiln-dried blend, for those who prefer a richer, more expressive matcha. By combining four carefully selected cultivars, it delivers remarkable depth, layered umami, and a creamy body while maintaining excellent balance. The traditional brick kiln drying method adds complexity and character, resulting in a smooth yet robust cup that's equally exceptional as usucha or a premium latte.

Samidori, Yabukita, and Okumidori.
Savory umami nori-like matcha (in a good way)

Taste as Usucha: Deep savory umami with nori-like notes, gentle nuttiness, mellow sweetness, and a smooth, lingering finish

Taste as Latte: Creamy and comforting with roasted nuts, cocoa, and rich umami that remains beautifully balanced with milk

The result is a layered matcha with savory, nori-like umami, delicate roasted notes, and a mellow sweetness that invites another sip. Stone-milled from carefully shaded first-harvest leaves, it offers a comforting cup whether enjoyed traditionally or as a latte.

If we could keep only one tin on our shelf, it would be Nagomi. Its comforting balance of savory umami, gentle sweetness, and roasted character is the cup we always find ourselves reaching for. 💚
